ARMM Approves P3 Billion Telecom Investment Originally Intended For Marawi

The Regional Board of Investments (RBOI) of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) recently approved during its 3rd Joint Management Committee and Board of Governors Meeting the Php 3.0 billion telecommunications investment of TierOne Communications International, Inc. (TierOne).
 
The investment project seeks to put up a telecommunications carrier in the ARMM.  Initially, TierOne planned to conduct its first rollout program for Marawi City.  However, due to the ongoing Marawi siege the company had to re-evaluate its business plan and program of works.

Traders Support All Moro Convention For ARMM Stability

The ARMM Business Council (ABC) as the umbrella organization of business chambers and trade associations in the region expressed their support to the call for an all Moro convention in order to foster stability in the area. This was learned by the Regional Board of Investments (RBOI) after the conduct of their investment roadshow for Maguindanao last week. 
 
Dr. Rima Hassan, chairperson of the ABC said that the Marawi siege has definitely affected business prospects in the region and there is need for a stable environment for doing business to attract the needed business investments.

The Regional Board of Investments (RBOI) of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) recently conducted the Investment Priorities Plan (IPP) Roadshow for Maguindanao held in Tacurong City. This is the second leg of a series of region wide IPP roadshows aimed to inform the public particularly investors the salient features and implementing guidelines of the newly approved 2017 IPP.

To help distressed families affected by the siege in Marawi City, the Regional Board of Investment   of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao  (RBOI-ARMM) called its registered firms for donations in a form of cash or relief  items. This is after ARMM Regional Governor, Mujiv Hataman urged all ARMM agencies to  assist in the relief operations to ease the pain and sufferings of around 235,580 internally displaced persons (IDPs) caused by the arm conflict between the terrorist Maute Group and government  forces.

MAP commits support to ARMM's investment drive

Cotabato City (May 22, 2017) – The Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) has expressed support in promoting the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) as an investment destination.

In a manifesto signed by its top officials on Monday (May 22), the MAP urged its members and its various committees to integrate action plans in coordination with the ARMM’s Regional Board of Investment (RBOI-ARMM) to achieve this objective.
