Marawi Crisis Won't Stop ARMM Investments As Indicated Newly-registered P129-M In Port Services Project

A Php129 million port related services project was recently approved for registration by the Regional Board of Investments, Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (RBOI-ARMM). The Bangsamoro Terminal Services Inc. (BTSI) based at Polloc Freeport, Parang, Maguindanao invested in this project to provide efficient logistics support to the thriving businesses in the provinces of ARMM such as Maguindanao and Lanao del Sur, also the provinces of North Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat, both in Central Mindanao including Cotabato City.

For the first time, the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) has joined an official Philippine government investment mission and trade delegation abroad.
ARMM Regional Governor Mujiv Hataman authorized the chairman of the Regional Board of Investments (RBOI), lawyer Ishak Mastura, to actively participate in the Trade and Investment Mission to Australia from August 6-11, 2017. ARMM Calls For Greater Investments In Basilan And Sulu

In the recent 2017 Investment Priorities Plan (IPP) Roadshow for Basilan and Sulu held in Zamboanga City organized by the Regional Board of Investments, Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (RBOI-ARMM), the business sector together with the ARMM regional government (ARG) agreed to call for greater investments in Basilan and Sulu.
Sulu and Basilan are surrounded by rich fishery grounds such as Basilan Strait, Moro Gulf, Sulu Sea and Celebes Sea producing quality aqua marine products and fishes. Both provinces have good soil attributes and sound climatic conditions suitable for highly valuable agricultural and industrial crops such as corn, coconut, rubber and many others. These positive characteristics attract investors to come and invest in the island provinces.

ARMM Wants To Supply Cassava From Marawi And Lanao To Nestle's P2-B Milo Plant

In a statement today, the Regional Board of Investments (RBOI) of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) said that the ARMM is eager to supply the need for cassava and cassava flour to Nestle's Php 2 billion Protomalt processing plant for its MILO health food drink. 
Nestle recently announced that construction of the MILO malt plant in Lipa, Batangas began in December 2015 and is expected to be completed in October 2017. Earlier it was reported that Nestle sought the help of the Department of Agriculture to source and increase supply of cassava for its MILO plant.

ARMM Business Firms Donate Assistance To Marawi City.

To help distressed families affected by the siege in Marawi City, the Regional Board of Investment of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (RBOI-ARMM) called its registered firms for donations in a form of cash or relief items. This is after ARMM Regional Governor, Mujiv Hataman urged all ARMM agencies to assist in the relief operations to ease the pain and sufferings of around 235,580 internally displaced persons (IDPs) caused by the arm conflict between the terrorist Maute Group and government forces.
