ARMM Officials' Japan Educational Tour


Eight (8) ARMM officials from different ARMM offices went on a two (2) weeks training program as part of the ARMM Human Resource Development Program under the auspices of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). This is part of the support package for peace and stability in Mindanao by the Government of Japan. The eight (8) trainees were expected to achieve the following objectives:


  1. To observe the agricultural/fisheries and their activities in local areas, in order to expand the knowledge about the agriculture/fisheries promotion by local government;
  2. To visit the local governments who have made a satisfactory achievement in local development, and to exchange their views with officials through discussion;
  3. To find the Japanese models which are applicable to ARMM...

RBOI – ARMM Facilitated Business Matching During Mindanao Investment Forum For Seaweeds

On January 24 & 25, 2006, Mindanao Investment Forum for Seaweeds was held at Estosan Garden Hotel, Cotabato City. This was hosted by the BFAR-ARMM under Regional Dir. Keise T. Usman sponsored by the Department of Agriculture-ARMM headed by Regional Secretary Datu Sajid S. Druz Ali. The Forum was attended by seaweed producer Regions IX, X, XI, XII, CARAGA Region and the host region, ARMM. Keynote speaker during the occasion was Hon. Domingo F. Consultative Meeting On Bird Flu A Success - November 25, 2005

The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries-ARMM Livestock Division headed by Dr. Norodin A. Kuit, Regional Bird Flu Task Force Coordinator had conducted a whole day Consultative Meeting with the different line agencies, local government units and the private sector in connection with the Avian Influenza scare.

ARMM Aggie Secretary Bats For Greater LGU Role In Economic Takeoff - November 23, 2005

Stressing its conviction that agricultural development is key to socio-economic upliftment, the Municipality of Sultan sa Barongis, Maguindanao held its 32nd Anniversary Foundation Celebration with Department of Agriculture Regional Secretary Sajid S. Druz Ali as its Guest of Honor.

“Agricultural Development is a top priority of the Municipality,” Sultan sa Barongis Mayor Datu Allandato Angas stressed as he led the ceremony on November 23, 2005.

Secretary Druz Ali took the opportunity to further discuss the agricultural development thrust enunciated by Regional Governor Datu Zaldy Uy Ampatuan in his first State of the Region Address (SORA).
