BOI-ARMM- PRESS LAUNCHING

A press launching and mini-round table discussion with regard to ARMM investments was conducted on May 13, 2011 at the Asian Institute of Management in Makati City where heads of business chambers, ARMM cabinet secretaries of member agencies under the ARMM Regional Economic Development Committee as well as local and foreign chambers based in the Philippines were invited. The highlight of the program was the awarding of the Certificate of Registration of E.A. Trilink Corporation by ARMM Acting Regional Governor Ansaruddin A. Adiong assisted by Chairman Ishak V. Mastura of the RBOI which was accepted by EA Trilink Corporation chairman, Mr. Nasser Sampaco, Dr. Alfredo C. Panizales and Engr. Camilo de Jesus.

INVESTMENTS IN ARMM SURGE 1,650% IN 1ST QUARTER

COTABATO CITY, May 16, 2011, The Regional Board of Investments (RBOI) of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) announced that investments registered with their office in the first quarter has surged by 1,650% as a result of the recently approved investment of the EA Trilink Corporation in April of its P1.5 billion telecommunications project in the region. The project seeks to set up and franchise 2,000 internet-ready mobile tele-kiosks where each tele-kiosk will have 3 employees each so it has a potential to generate at least 6,000 jobs. Last year the RBOI managed to register only P91 million investments in a bio-mass power plant in Maguindanao and in a construction project in Tawi-Tawi.

Seaweeds Processing Plant In Shariff Kabunsuan Province

A five million (P5M) worth Seaweeds Processing Plant,  a pilot project for the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao to produce Alkali Treated Chips, will soon operate in  Parang, Shariff Kabunsuan Province and the nearby provinces to the benefit of the seaweed farmers in the area.

 

This was an output of the 1st Seaweeds Congress in the ARMM last February 27-28 at Estosan Hotel, Cotabato City which was spearheaded by the Seaweeds Industry Association of the Philippines (SIAP) and BFAR-ARMM.
